NORMAN KLEIN
is the author of numerous books and essays on mass culture, media and urban studies, most notably, "The History of Forgetting: Los Angeles and the Erasure of Memory," and "Seven Minutes: The Life and Death of the American Animated Cartoon." His Web credits include: co-author of "The Freud-Lissitzky Navigator" (with Lev Manovich); co-author of "Cinematic Imaginaries of Los Angeles" (working title, with Stephen Mamber); and director of the Research Institute for Cultural Change (through Cal Arts, at www.impsresearch.com). His most recent show was "The Chase and the Labyrinth," at the Witte de With, in Rotterdam. Currently he is completed two new books: "The Vatican to Vegas: The History of Special Effects," and "Missing Los Angeles: A Guide to Ruins, Fragments and Obliterated Structures," as well as co-editing another anthology on LA, "City in Turmoil". He is a professor at the California Institute of the Arts, and adjunct at UCLA and Art Center College of Design. 

SHUMON BASAR
studied architecture at Cambridge University and the Architectural Association. Worked for Zaha Hadid (1996-99). Co-director of curatorial/design group Newbetter, an editor at fashion/culture quarterly Tank and co-founder of sexymachinery. Since 2006, is director of Curatorial Practices and Cultural Projects at the Architectural Association, London, where he also co-directs the Summer Architecture School. Has also lectured at the Royal College of Art and London Consortium. Basar has written for Modern Painters, ArtReview, Blueprint, Sunday Telegraph and Domus, Edited books include Did Someone Say Participate: An Atlas of Spatial Practice, MIT/Revolver, 2006 (with Markus Miessen); With/Without, Moutamarat/Bidoun, 2007 (with A. Carver and Miessen); Cities from Zero, AA Publications,2007; and The World of Madelon Vriesendorp, AA Publications, 2008 (with S. Trueby) which is in association with the exhibition on the Dutch artist and co-founder of OMA. Basar has recently been appointed Curator for a private client who plans to establish a collection, foundation and London gallery dedicated to the culture, history and future of architecture.

TOR LINDSTRAND, architect, International Festival und teacher at the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm. International Festival, Tor Lindstrand and Mårten Spångberg, work together since several years and have with their radical projects in performance and architecture developed a strong reputation. Their work focus on conventions and frames as well as on the production of specific inter human relations related to performance and architecture.

PASCAL SCHÖNING
is the author of the "Manifesto for Cinematic Architecture", architect, Unit Master at the Architectural Association, London 

Dr MELINDA RACKHAM
is the Executive Director of the Australian Network for  Art and Technology (ANAT), Australiaâs peak body for artists working with science and technology, creating opportunities for innovation, research and development both locally and globally.  As an artist, writer and curator she worked with Networked Media for over a decade in web, 3d multi-user, game and mobile environments. Her award  winning artworks are widely shown and her writing appears in diverse  art and theory publications.  Melinda founded -empyre- media arts forum in 2002 and in 2003-4 was curator of Networked Media at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI), Melbourne. http://www.anat.org.au/home.ht

Drew Harry
Drew Harry is a researcher with the Sociable Media Group at the MIT Media Lab. He's interested in the possibilities of virtual worlds for creating new kinds of mediated social spaces. His past projects have explored identity issues in online games, sharing presence and location on mobile devices, and web-based collaboration. He was a member of the inaugural class at Olin College, and holds a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering. While at Olin he worked at IBM Research and Motorola Labs, as well founding Thinkature – a web collaboration startup. 

DIETMAR OFFENHUBER
Dietmar Offenhuber is a researcher with the Sociable Media Group at the MIT Media Lab. Dietmar graduated in Architecture and has been working since 1994 in animation, interactive environments and visualization. From 1995 to 2004 Dietmar worked at the Ars Electronica Futurelab as key researcher for interactive spaces and has been teaching animation at the University of Applied Sciences in Hagenberg/ Austria. Dietmar collaborates frequently with the sound artist Maex Decker and the composers Sam Auinger and Hannes Strobl under the name "Stadtmusik". 

JUDITH DONATH
Judith Donath is an Associate Professor at the MIT Media Lab, where she directs the Sociable Media research group. Her work focuses on the social side of computing, synthesizing knowledge from fields such as graphic design, urban studies and cognitive science to build innovative interfaces for the online communities, virtual identities and computer-mediated collaborations that have emerged with the convergence of computing and communication.
